LATE LT COL OTOBRISE UMUSU AND OTHERS HONOURED AT THE NMS 38TH PASSING OUT PLATOON REUNION OF 91 SET

All roads led to Abuja for the NMS 91/38th passing out platoon of Nigerian Military School reunion, the anticipation of meeting old friends and classmates was high, the thrilling thought of seeing that one friend you once shared a cup of garri with and the thought of who has changed and who has remained the same after 2 decades; is the class clown still funny?is the bully of the class now a gentle man or is the most quiet boy in class now an extrovert? i can imagine these questions and more running through the minds of these ex-boys.
It was indeed a weekend of fun, filled with hugs, handshakes, laughter and of course planning ahead for the future for all the members of the 38th passing out platoon, fun activities were lined up;like the paint ball battle,a football match and many more, however, the most important of all was paying tributes to fallen soldiers who also belonged to the same platoon, the most recent one being Lt Col Otobrise Umusu, who recently lost his life battling the boko haram sect at the north eastern part of Nigeria, prayers were said for his soul, tributes were paid by his closest friends and a condolence visit was paid to his family.Truly, all members of the 38th passing out platoon have all these years held up the motto of their former school 'Discipline,Knowledge and Patriotism.
